About GATE
GATE LLC (Жи Эй Ти И ХХК) started in 2006 with the Gate restaurant, an upscale restaurant in central Ulaanbaatar. Twenty years of continuous operation later, built on the same service standards we set from day one, we have grown into an industry leader in food production, catering and camp management.
In November 2015 we began full camp services at South Gobi mine sites together with Pacific Rim Constructors. Since then we have run camp management, catering and cleaning for Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi, Energy Resource and the Gashuunsukhait border port.
Today we work with many of Mongolia’s largest companies and state and private mining operations. We also run our own livestock operation in Aldarkhaan sum, Zavkhan Province, grazing and raising over 1,000 head of sheep and goats to supply our kitchens with meat. Our 60-plus staff train interns from the Food Technology Polytechnic College and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), and work alongside their researchers.
GREEN CATERING
We apply modern, environmentally friendly technology at every stage of our work — food production, catering, cleaning and technical maintenance — and run a smart waste-management system that sorts and recycles waste.
Local cooperation
We work with local government and labour and welfare service centres in the areas where we operate, staffing our project teams from the surrounding community. We also employ people with disabilities and buy from local businesses, contributing directly to the economies of the aimags and sums where we work.
